Strengths-based practice

Tito’s story

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve student and employee outcomes by supporting institutions with professional development, program design, wellness services and consulting, all delivered through a

strengths-based perspective.

“This is a new and fresh approach to shifting school culture that produces effective outcomes when we see the gifts in our kids and staff first.”

—Trinika Barnett, Equity Coordinator, Lynwood Unified School District

Strengths-Based Practice for Education

At the core of our work is strengths-based practice. SBP is a set of techniques and a mind frame which delivers consistent positive outcomes with students in individual situations and generally improves campus climate.

Strengths-Based Practice for Business

The key to a thriving work culture is igniting the intrinsic motivation of your employees and providing the training, tools and resources necessary for them to flourish. Managing and leading from a strengths-based practice delivers that type of work environment on a consistent and predictable basis.

“The day after Ara's presentation, I met a student who was involuntarily transferred to my school and was very frustrated with his transfer. I could tell his walls were up. He was ready for more disapproving comments from adults. Instead, I applied what I learned from Ara's presentation. Immediately, the student's walls came down. He disclosed his entire situation and we spent several minutes talking, getting to know each other. His mother came in and was surprised to see him opening up to me. I continue applying strengths-based practices each day to build strong and genuine relationships with my students.”
